‘Mastermind’ in AKA’s Murder Arrested
The South African Police Service (SAPS) has announced the arrest of six individuals in connection with the homicides of Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his associate, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane. The victims were fatally shot at close range on February 10, 2023, in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, the KZN SAPS Commissioner, provided an update on the arrests. He confirmed that four of the suspects are currently detained in South Africa, while the remaining two are in Eswatini, awaiting extradition.

‘Mastermind’ in AKA’s Murder Arrested
The police have verified that the individual who orchestrated and financed the murder, referred to as the ‘master of everything’, is now in custody.
It remains unclear whether the person who carried out the murder acted independently or was following orders from another party. However, the SAPS disclosed that the orchestrator was responsible for assembling and compensating all the suspects involved in the crime.
The arrested individuals include two shooters, two observers, the orchestrator, and a person responsible for procuring firearms and vehicles.
The suspects are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. The police have expressed confidence in their case against the accused.
