Brian was born on 9th December 1981 in Eastern Cape, South Africa, and raised in Soshanguve, Pretoria. He had two siblings, a sister and a brother, but his brother passed away. The R&B musician is a father to two beautiful daughters. His firstborn teenage girl lives with her mother and stepfather in the UK. He revealed that he sees her at least three times a year and ensures they talk every day. He welcomed his second daughter in 2019 with his girlfriend. Career

Music Career

Brian made his music career debut as a backup vocalist for various celebrities like Vicky Vilakazi, Hugh Masekela, and Jonathan Butler. He also sang with illustrious musical bands like Family Factory, IV U (For You), and Joyous Celebration. His first single was called Dominoes. He has released a number of popular songs, singles, and EPs, including Grateful, This is My Time (2011), Lost Without You (2016), Angeke (2019), Can We Go Back (2020), and Olwethu (2020). His debut album, Something Better, was released in 2009. Other albums include 51Lex Presents Dominoes (2011), This is My Time (T.I.M.T) (2012), and unABC Deluxe (unapologetic, unbreakable, uncensored) (2017 and 2019).

Acting Career

Apart from having a melodious voice, Temba is a talented actor and performer. He was among the original Disney’s The Lion King cast that was done in Los Angeles in 2000. Following his impressive performance, he landed the leading role of Simba in The Lion King musical, which was performed on the West End Stage, London from 2003 to 2008. He has been in other theater roles including Lion and the Lamb, a musical play on Market Theater, South Africa, and The Lion King ensemble (2000 to 2003 in Los Angeles, again in 2011 in Las Vegas). He also played the role of Ranthumeng Mokoena on Muvhahango, an SABC 2 soap opera until 2019 when he left to concentrate on his music. He appeared in other TV shows as a guest including the Felicia Mabuza Sule Show in South Africa and the Jay Leno Show in Los Angeles.

Production Career

Brian Temba is also a producer. He founded the Aj8one Productions in 2011, which he uses to produce his music and that of other artists. He has mostly been an independent singer citing that production companies exploit ambitious artists.
