Clint Brink Biography
Clint Brink, a renowned South African actor, was born on September 29, 1980, in Paarl, Cape Province, which is now known as Western Cape. He is best recognized for his roles in the films “King Dog,” “Ellen: Die storie van Ellen Pakkies,” and “Lockdown Heights,” as well as the soap opera “Binnelanders.”
Early Life and Education
Born and raised in Paarl, Cape Province (now Western Cape), Brink attended New Orleans High School. After completing his high school education, he pursued higher studies at CityVarsity School of Media and Creative Arts. In 1999, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Television.
Career
Brink’s career in the film industry began during his time at CityVarsity. He worked on several short films as part of his studies. At the age of 19, shortly after graduation, he auditioned for the film “Gangsters and Dancers.” Although the film was canceled before production, this experience opened the door for Brink to land the role of Shaun Jacobs in the television series “Backstage.”
He then appeared in the soap opera “Generations” as ‘Bradley Paulse’ and starred in several South African films such as “Dollars and White Pipes,” “Swop!” and “Mega Python vs. Gatoroid.”
In 2006, his performance in the blockbuster film “Dollars + White Pipes” earned him a nomination for the South African Film and Television Award (SAFTA) for Best Actor in a Feature Film. The following year, he starred as Valentino “Tino” Martens in the series “Scandal!” His performance in the series earned him SAFTAs for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor in a TV Soap.

Personal Life
In 2000, Brink began dating fellow actress Marubini Mogale. Tragically, in 2002, Brink, Mogale, and Mogale’s sister Lerato were involved in a car accident. The driver lost control, and the car overturned; Marubini died in the accident, while Brink and Lerato sustained minor injuries.
In 2016, Brink married Steffi van Wyk, a Namibian model and beauty pageant winner.
