DJ Sbu Joins Radio 2000 as New Show Host
Sbusiso Leope, widely recognized as DJ Sbu, has been introduced as one of the new show hosts for Radio 2000, following the station’s annual reshuffling.
This period of the year is typically when local radio stations revamp their line-ups. This year has been no different, with several of the state broadcaster’s stations introducing new voices on their platforms.
Radio 2000, South Africa’s leading national urban adult contemporary radio station, announced its new line-up, which will be effective from 1 April.
DJ Sbu Joins Radio 2000
DJ Sbu is set to make a remarkable return as he assumes the role of the new breakfast show host, after nearly a decade-long hiatus from radio.
His appointment to the prime time slot signifies a new dawn for South Africa’s mornings. He will be introducing a new breakfast show alongside the current team, which includes Nathi Ndamase as co-presenter and Lelo Mzaca as the sports anchor.
As part of the show’s launch, listeners will have the chance to name the show, with prizes to be won. Until then, the ‘No Name Breakfast Show’ will air on weekdays, from 6am to 9am.
