The Charges and Allegations
The charges brought against them by the NPA’s Investigating Directorate are related to payments amounting to R300 000. According to spokesperson Sidisiwe Seboka, during Myeni’s tenure as chairperson of the SAA, she allegedly failed to disclose her interests as required by the SAA Conflict of Interest Policy.
Seboka further stated that Myeni is accused of corruption for receiving gratification from Bosasa subsidiary Sondolo IT, offered by Trevor Mathenjwa, the company’s former director. The gratification allegedly included security upgrades at her Richards Bay premises between May 2014 to March 2015, valued at R200 000.
