Siphiwe Mkhonza, a ex defender for the Kaizer Chiefs, Golden Arrows, and Bloemfontein Celtic, has died. Mkhonza’s professional football career began in 1999 when he was scouted by Bloemfontein Celtic. During his time with the Chiefs, Mkhonza achieved significant success, including winning the league title. His exceptional performance also earned him a call-up to Bafana Bafana during his tenure at Naturena.
Later Career and Post-Retirement
After his time with the Chiefs, Mkhonza continued his football career with SuperSport United, Maritzburg United, AmaZulu, and Black Leopards. Upon retiring from professional football, Mkhonza transitioned into a career as a TV analyst for the SABC and pursued coaching courses.
