Miss South Africa 2024 broadcast ratings bump. The broadcast of the Miss South Africa this past weekend saw the ceremony on S3, hosted by Bonang Matheba, get a viewership of 1,25-million. The live broadcast clocked an Average Minute Rating (AMR) peak of an impressive 1,7-million.
This is an improvement on 2023’s ratings of 1,08-million peak. However, the audience share was lower than it was last year. The 2023 ceremony had a 2,5 AR with a solid 10% audience share.
This year it retained the AR but had a 8,5% share. Basically, the show did very well and increased viewers. The audience share was lower than last year, but that just means more people across the channels were watching tv than last year same time — bigger pie, as it were.
