Anga Makubalo, born on 28 May 1987 in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth, is a renowned South African model, singer, and actor. He is widely recognized for his starring role as MJ Memela in the SABC1 soap opera, Generations.

Anga was born in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. As a young child, he moved to Johannesburg with his mother. In 2003, he received a sports bursary at Edenvale high school where he actively participated in soccer, cricket, athletics, and rugby.
Education
Anga attended acting and presenting classes at Talent International. Later, in 2009, he pursued contemporary music at Damelin, Bramley. After his acting and presenting classes, Anga served as a part-time teacher at the same school, coaching and mentoring young talents.

Family Life
Anga was born into the family of Musi Qaqambile (father) and Nomvula (mother). He has a sister named Asanda and a brother named Khanyiso.
Relationships and Personal Life
In 2016, Anga was involved in a love triangle with two women who are the mothers of his children. Roselyn, his girlfriend from Botswana, gave birth to their first child. His on-off secret lover, Nonkululeko, reportedly refused to abort their child. Maggie, the alleged mother of his three-year-old son at that time, separated from him. This situation led to a dramatic scenario among the women.
Currently, NaakMusiQ seems to have found love again with his new girlfriend, Michaela Roy, a model and video vixen. They reportedly met at a nightclub in Johannesburg. Prior to this, NaakMusiQ dated Nandi Mbatha, a former actress from Isithembiso, but they ended their relationship.
Career in Music
After studying contemporary music, Anga embarked on his musical journey with the assistance of his friend Rokker Rogerz who introduced him to Lunga Nombewu of Baainar Records. He became the first vocalist to be signed under the Baainar label. He released several hit songs such as “Ndiyindoda”, “Move”, “Ntombi Ethandwayo”, “Crazy” and “Qina”.
In 2015, he joined Afrotainment and released an album on 31 October 2016. The album comprises a total of 14 Naakmusiq songs including “What Have You Done”, “Children”, “Miss Me” and “Give and Take My Piano”.
Acting Career
In 2010, he auditioned for the role of ‘Nicolus’ but was unsuccessful due to his inability to speak Tswana. However, in 2011, he made a guest appearance on the television serial Mino Mania as a singer in a minor role.
In 2011, he joined the cast of Generations and played the role of ‘MJ Memela’. He continued to appear in several television serials such as Z’bondiwe season 1, 2, and 3, where he played the role of ‘Ntando Mabatha’ starting in 2015. He also became the host of the program ‘All Access Mzansi Season 10’ alongside Mbali Nkosi in 2015.
In 2019, he released the single ‘Ndakwenza Ntoni’ and in 2020, he released the single ‘Camagu’ in collaboration with Mobi Dixon.
In early April 2022, Makubalo was announced as the host of Tropika Island Of Treasure All Stars.
