All you need to know about the new drama
Set in a world where the quest for the perfect partner seems like an impossible task, the drama series ‘How to Manifest a Man’ explores the intriguing concept of creating your own ideal man rather than leaving it to chance.
The narrative centers on Dudu (portrayed by Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa), a woman trapped in an unfulfilling marriage. When her husband, Simphiwe (played by Mnqobi Kunene), suffers from memory loss, Dudu seizes the opportunity to transform him into the man she has always desired.
Dudu’s strategy for this transformation is fourfold:
- Obliterate the Past
- Fabricate the Future
- Ensure His Desire is Solely for Her
- Shower Him with Unconditional Love
Unbeknownst to Dudu, Simphiwe’s propensity for infidelity might be too ingrained to change, leading Dudu into a fierce struggle to maintain the love she has meticulously rekindled.
As Dudu’s desperate act of love unravels, a complex web of challenges arises, including a tenacious detective, a persistent lover, and a blackmailing witness. To add to the turmoil, Dudu’s own brother, Sam Jnr Ngonyama (Lebo Msiza), schemes to shield her from her self-inflicted obsession.
The series boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Gaisang Noge as Ntombi, Simphiwe’s lover; Lucia Mthiyane as Dudu’s mother Felicia; Peter Sephuma as Sam Snr Ngonyama and Nomcebo Gumede as Ntombi’s best friend Zama. The cast is rounded out by Kabelo Mashika, who plays Bafana, and Aluve Mjali, who takes on the role of Detective Sipho Ndlovu.
