In a significant operation, the police force successfully confiscated a substantial amount of cocaine at the port of Gqeberha, located in the Eastern Cape. The seizure, which took place on Thursday, involved a whopping 35 blocks of cocaine. Police seize cocaine worth R65m in port of Gqeberha.

The cocaine was discovered aboard a vessel that had journeyed to South Africa from Brazil. The members of the Gqeberha seaport were acting on intelligence information when they intercepted the vessel as it was docking on Thursday. The spokesperson for the police, Brig Athlenda Mathe, confirmed these details.

Despite the successful seizure, no arrests have been made in connection with the bust. The investigation is ongoing, and the authorities are working diligently to apprehend those responsible for this illicit drug trade.
